The Korean Jindo (진돗개) is a natural monument of South Korea, originating from Jindo Island in the southwestern tip of the Korean peninsula. Renowned for their loyalty, intelligence, and independence, Jindos have been faithful companions to Korean families for centuries.
Designated as Korea's Natural Monument No. 53 in 1962, the Jindo is one of only two Korean dog breeds recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). Their dignified appearance, strong prey drive, and deeply loyal nature make them unique among dog breeds worldwide.
